AMARAVATI, October 12 — The Government of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday issued statutory administrative guidelines formally operationalizing the 'Deepam 2.0' welfare initiative, providing three free Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) refill cylinders per fiscal year to eligible white ration cardholding women across all 28 districts.
In a concurrent cabinet briefing, the agriculture and civil supplies ministries finalized standard operating procedures for the 'Annadata Sukhibhava' farmer assistance framework. Designed to integrate alongside the Union Government's PM-KISAN, the scheme disburses ₹20,000 annually per farming household in phased Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) tranches, ensuring financial liquidity ahead of the rabi sowing season. Tenant farmers registered through Village Sachivalayam land-lease agreements (CCRC cards) remain explicitly covered under the benefit matrix.
Officials further reviewed operational pilot runs for free Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus transit for women and the 'Yuva Galam' youth skill development certification modules slated for statewide rollout.
Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanisms, public distribution systems (NFSA 2013), agricultural credit cycles, Constitutional Directive Principles of State Policy (Articles 38, 39, 41 on welfare state obligations), and state budget fiscal allocations are high-frequency themes across APPSC Group-I, Group-II, and Grama/Ward Sachivalayam general studies examinations.
