NEW DELHI, September 15 — India celebrated National Engineers' Day on Monday, honoring the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya.
Engineering institutions, central universities, and industrial PSUs across the country organised seminars and innovation exhibitions under the theme 'Engineering Solutions for Sustainable Infrastructure'. Tributes were paid to Sir M. Visvesvaraya for his pioneering contributions to dam construction, flood protection, and industrial development in India.
The Institution of Engineers (India) presented National Design Awards to eminent engineers and researchers during special ceremonies in New Delhi.
