CHENNAI, September 17 — Southern Railway released the official notification for the recruitment of 4,471 Act Apprentice vacancies across its divisions and workshops under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
The recruitment drive covers trades including Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter, and Electronic Mechanic. ITI-pass candidates in respective trades can submit applications on the official Southern Railway portal rrcmas.in until September 27, 2026.
Apprenticeship training spans 12 to 24 months depending on the trade, after which candidates receive National Apprenticeship Certificates (NAC) from the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
Railway apprentice recruitments are highly sought after by ITI certificate holders. Candidates must verify trade-wise vacancy lists and check eligibility before registering.
