PRAYAGRAJ, October 5 — The Uttar Pradesh Education Services Selection Commission (UPESSC) has notified 1,936 permanent vacancies for Assistant Professors across government-aided undergraduate and postgraduate colleges in Uttar Pradesh.
The advertised vacancies span 47 academic disciplines across Humanities, Science, Commerce, Law, and Teacher Education. Eligible candidates must hold a master's degree in the concerned subject with at least 55% aggregate marks alongside qualifying credentials in UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or an accredited Ph.D. degree compliant with UGC 2009/2016 regulations. The online registration portal accepts submissions through October 7, 2026.
The selection architecture features an objective written examination comprising 200 marks (60 marks for General Studies and 140 marks for domain discipline) followed by a 30-mark personal interview. Selected faculty members will enter into UGC Academic Pay Level 10 with an initial entry pay of ₹57,700 plus usual dearness and academic allowances.
