MUMBAI, October 6 — The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on Tuesday made active the candidate scorecards and category-wise qualifying cut-off scores on its official website `ibps.in` for the Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers and Management Trainees (CRP PO/MT-XVI), facilitating appointments across eleven participating Public Sector Banks.
Aspirants who appeared for the nationwide preliminary computer-based assessment can access their subject-wise marks and aggregate normalized scores by authenticating with their registration number and date of birth through October 16, 2026. The examination authority published both sectional qualifying thresholds across the three constituent papers—English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability—alongside overall aggregate cut-offs for Unreserved, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwBD applicant categories.
Candidates who have crossed the requisite aggregate cut-off threshold have advanced to the CRP PO/MT-XVI Main Examination, scheduled tentatively for late November 2026. The upcoming Main assessment features advanced reasoning, general economy and banking awareness, data analysis, and a mandatory 25-mark English descriptive writing component evaluating formal letter correspondence and essay composition.
The institutional mechanics of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, public sector bank governance, banking sector consolidation, and the statutory architecture of commercial banks are key concepts in banking awareness modules (IBPS, SBI, RBI Grade B). Aspirants should note that IBPS operates as an autonomous testing agency established in 1975 originally as Personnel Selection Services (PSS) under the National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), later becoming an independent body in 1984 under the Societies Registration Act.
