MUMBAI, October 17 — The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) officially released the online Call Letters for the Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers and Management Trainees (CRP PO/MT-XIV) Main Examination 2026 on Saturday.
Candidates who cleared the nationwide preliminary screening can access their examination admit cards via the official portal (ibps.in) through their registration credentials. The Main Examination comprises 200 marks of objective assessments—evaluating Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation—alongside a 25-mark descriptive English language test featuring essay and letter drafting under a composite 3.5-hour duration.
IBPS reiterated mandatory reporting protocols, requiring biometric Iris/thumbprint authentication and valid photo identity documentation at designated secure testing centres. The ongoing CRP PO/MT-XIV recruitment drive aims to induct over 3,955 probationary officers across 11 participating Public Sector Banks, bolstering professional banking human capital across branch networks.
The evolution of IBPS (established in 1975 under NIBM, formalized in 1984), landmark bank nationalisation milestones (Banking Companies Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings Acts of 1969 and 1980), statutory provisions under the Banking Regulation Act 1949, and RBI monetary policy frameworks constitute primary study topics across IBPS PO, SBI, and regulatory grade examinations.
