According to the official gazette schedule, candidates possessing a recognized Bachelor's degree in any discipline (alongside a valid light motor vehicle driving license for male Delhi Police applicants) can submit online applications from October 14 through November 12, 2026. The Computer-Based Examination (Paper-I) is scheduled to be administered nationwide in late December 2026.
The four-tier recruitment architecture encompasses: Tier-1 (Paper-I objective testing across Reasoning, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and English, 200 marks), Tier-2 (Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test), Tier-3 (Paper-II English Language and Comprehension, 200 marks), and Tier-4 (Detailed Medical Examination). Final merit rankings will be computed out of 400 aggregate marks across Paper-I and Paper-II.
The command structure and operational mandates of Central Armed Police Forces under the Ministry of Home Affairs, constitutional governance of Delhi Police (Union List under the Seventh Schedule), physical endurance standards, and border management protocols are standard fixtures in SSC CPO, UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandant), and State Police exams. Candidates should note that National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificate holders receive incentive bonus marks across the final merit tally.
