VIJAYAWADA, October 10 — The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) on Saturday notified the finalized examination timetable for the Group-II Services Mains written test across designated centers in the state on its portal (psc.ap.gov.in).
Under the notified pattern, the Mains examination comprises two objective papers of 150 marks each: Paper-I covering the Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh & the Indian Constitution, and Paper-II covering the Indian & AP Economy alongside Science and Technology developments. The Commission mandated that candidates reconcile their One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) IDs with Aadhaar-linked credentials prior to hall ticket generation.
The testing architecture imposes a 1/3rd mark negative deduction per incorrect response across both papers. Marks secured in the Mains written examination will determine the final merit allocation across notified executive positions (including Deputy Tahsildar, Sub-Registrar Grade-II, and Assistant Labour Officer) and non-executive clerical and audit cadres.
State public service recruitment mechanics, constitutional governance under Part XIV of the Constitution of India (Articles 315 to 323), the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2014, and regional economic geography are central topics across APPSC, TSPSC, and central civil services exams. Candidates should prioritize thorough coverage of state budget allocations and statutory administrative frameworks.
