How to apply

Register once on OTPR at psc.ap.gov.in (see the OTPR registration guide and the 2026 OTPR local-status update), then submit the online application between 10 and 30 November 2026. The detailed notification is due before the window opens; read it for the fee, the age relaxations, the physical standards for the Excise Sub-Inspector post and the community-wise breakup before you pay.

Read the official notification first. Facts that change with each notification (posts, dates, fee, age) are taken only from it.

Exam pattern

As in the last official scheme (Notification 11/2023) and as reported for 37/2026: a screening test of 150 objective questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes, OMR mode, on General Studies and Mental Ability at degree standard; then a Mains of two objective papers of 150 questions and 150 marks each (Paper I: Social and Cultural History of Andhra Pradesh and the Indian Constitution; Paper II: Indian and Andhra Pradesh Economy, Science and Technology); then a Computer Proficiency Test for the posts that require it. One-third negative marking applied in the last cycle. The detailed notification confirms the 2026 scheme and the screening-test date.
