Recruitment news in Andhra Pradesh arrives from many directions at once. The Public Service Commission posts brief notifications and then detailed ones. The Police Recruitment Board issues notifications without an application window. The High Court advertises judicial posts with three different last dates. A press report names a date for teacher recruitment. A video thumbnail repeats a number that nobody can trace. By the time an aspirant sorts these, a deadline may have passed or a figure may have changed. This post is a dated tracker built to remove that confusion for one month.

The cut-off date is 7 October 2026. Every row in the confirmed tables comes from an official page or document that was opened for this edition, and each row says where it came from. Items that appear only in newspapers or news sites are kept in a separate table and are not mixed into the confirmed tables. Where an official page could not be read, this post says so instead of filling the gap from memory. The post is a photograph of one day, and the next edition will change some rows. It is also written to agree with our existing posts on the job calendar, police recruitment, APPSC Group 1 and the judicial services; where a number in one of those posts differs from an official page, the difference is listed in a section of its own.

As on 7 October 2026. Sources: psc.ap.gov.in and portal-psc.ap.gov.in (APPSC), slprb.ap.gov.in (SLPRB), aphc.gov.in (High Court of Andhra Pradesh), dme.ap.nic.in (Directorate of Medical Education), apgenco.gov.in and the home page of APSPDCL. Notifications can be amended, extended or cancelled. Open the official page before you apply, and treat this post as a map to it.

How to read this tracker

Three labels are used throughout, and they are never mixed.

"Confirmed on an official site" means the notification, web note, press note or page was opened and read, and the figure matches the document. "Reported by press" means a newspaper or news site states it and no order or notification could be opened that confirms it. "Not found" means the official pages that should carry the item were checked and showed nothing, which is different from saying the item does not exist.

The tracker also separates two kinds of vacancy figure that are often confused. A brief notification gives provisional vacancies and tentative dates. A detailed notification gives the break-up by community, zone and category, the age limit, the fee and the exact dates, and it can change the vacancy count. When the two differ, the detailed one governs. A third kind is a sanction, such as a government order that allows a department to fill posts. A sanction is not a notification. It does not give you an application window.

Group Count as on 7 October 2026 Meaning
APPSC applications open now 3 notifications, 244 vacancies Detailed notifications of 6 October 2026
APPSC brief notifications awaiting detailed notice 17 notifications, 652 provisional vacancies Tentative windows from 9 October to 5 November
SLPRB notifications issued, no window announced 7 notifications, 2,197 posts Dates to follow by press release
High Court and judicial posts with a window or last date 4 notifications Last dates from 1 October to 26 October
Reported by press only 6 items Not confirmed on an official page

Open for application now: APPSC detailed notifications of 6 October 2026

On 6 October 2026 the Commission published three detailed notifications and opened online applications for all three on the same day. A web note of the same date says the applications run from 6 October 2026 to 27 October 2026, up to 11:59 PM.

Notification Post Vacancies Application window Status
07/2026 Group-I Services (13 post codes) 166 6 to 27 Oct 2026, 11:59 PM Open. Screening test (OMR) on 24 Jan 2027
08/2026 Assistant Environmental Engineer, A.P. Pollution Control Board 41 (1 carried forward) 6 to 27 Oct 2026, 11:59 PM Open. Computer-based test, date later
19/2026 Horticulture Officer, A.P. Horticulture Service 37 6 to 27 Oct 2026, 11:59 PM Open. Computer-based test, date later

All three prescribe age as on 1 July 2026. For Group-I the age is 18 to 44 for most posts, 21 to 30 for DSP (Civil) and 18 to 30 for DSP (Communications); the detailed notification cites G.O.Ms.No.187 and G.O.Ms.No.188 of the General Administration (Services-A) Department, both dated 14 September 2026, in its age paragraph. For the Assistant Environmental Engineer post the age is 18 to 44 with a pay scale of Rs 57,100 to 1,47,760. For the Horticulture Officer it is 18 to 44 with a pay scale of Rs 54,060 to 1,40,540. Full details of the Group-I scheme, fee and zones are in APPSC Group 1 Notification 2026.

Two things apply to every APPSC application this month. First, a web note dated 29 September 2026 tells every candidate to update the One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) from 30 September 2026, because district, zone and multi-zone status are now worked out under the Andhra Pradesh Presidential Order, 2025. The Commission says false or incorrect information can lead to rejection. Our OTPR update guide explains the steps. Second, the Commission says that corrections to the application form are enabled only after the last date, for seven days, on payment of a fee per correction. A candidate who applies on the final evening has no margin for a mistake in a field that affects age relaxation or fee.

APPSC brief notifications awaiting detailed notices

On 15 September 2026 the Commission issued brief notifications for 20 notification numbers (07/2026 to 26/2026) with 892 provisional vacancies. Three of them became detailed notifications on 6 October. The other 17 are still brief notifications as on 7 October 2026, and each says the detailed notification will be published on or before the date applications open. The windows below are the tentative dates in the Commission's web note of 15 September 2026.

Notification Post Provisional vacancies Tentative window Status
11/2026 Assistant Director, State Forensic Science Laboratory Service 8 6 to 27 Oct Brief only; detailed notice awaited
25/2026 Hostel Welfare Officer Gr-II: BC Welfare 29, Social Welfare 21, Tribal Welfare 23 73 9 to 29 Oct Brief only
26/2026 Assistant Tribal Welfare Officer 6; Assistant Social Welfare Officer 11 17 9 to 29 Oct Brief only
20/2026 Assistant Statistical Officer 196 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
09/2026 Assistant Director, Economics and Statistical Service 17 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
10/2026 Assistant Director, Tribal Welfare 1 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
14/2026 Inspector of Factories 12 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
21/2026 Analyst Grade-II, Pollution Control Board 18 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
22/2026 English Reporters 10; Telugu Reporters 1 (Legislature) 11 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
23/2026 Executive Officer Grade-III, Endowments 104 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
12/2026 District Probation Officer Gr-II / Intake Probation Officer 15 13 Oct to 2 Nov Brief only
24/2026 Industrial Promotion Officer 78 16 Oct to 5 Nov Brief only
13/2026 Supervisor Grade-I, Women Development and Child Welfare (women only) 29 16 Oct to 5 Nov Brief only
17/2026 Forest Section Officer 26 16 Oct to 5 Nov Brief only
15/2026 Draughtsman Grade-II (Technical Assistant), Forest 20 16 Oct to 5 Nov Brief only
18/2026 Forest Beat Officer 23 16 Oct to 5 Nov Brief only; single-level exam, no screening test
16/2026 Forest Range Officer 4 16 Oct to 5 Nov Brief only

Adding the vacancies in the table gives 652, and adding the three detailed notifications (166, 41 and 37, a total of 244) gives 896. The web note's own total of 892 is the sum of the brief figures, in which Group-I was 163 and the Assistant Environmental Engineer post was 40. The difference of four comes from three more Group-I vacancies and one more Assistant Environmental Engineer vacancy in the detailed notifications. This is our arithmetic and not a figure printed by the Commission, so use 892 when you quote the web note and the individual numbers when you quote the notifications.

A reader should treat the windows as tentative. The web note itself calls the dates tentative and the vacancies provisional, and the brief notification for the Forest Beat Officer says that the detailed notification will be available on or before 16 October 2026 and that the date of the detailed notification will be treated as the crucial date for qualification. In practice, that means you should not collect a fee or finish a form until the detailed notification is on the website. The brief notification for the Forest Beat Officer also states that the examination is a single-level examination, with no screening test, and asks candidates to look at the physical requirements in the detailed notification. An aspirant for that post should therefore look for the physical standards before anything else.

A separate item from the same Commission concerns an older recruitment. On 27 September 2026 the Commission published a web note and a substituted Annexure-I for Forest Range Officers under Notification No. 11/2024. The note says the provisional vacancies shown for women under horizontal reservation exceeded the proportional reservation, and the annexure was replaced to clear the doubt. That is a correction to a 2024 notification and is a different recruitment from the new Forest Range Officer brief notification (16/2026, four vacancies).

Police, fire, prisons and forensic posts: SLPRB

The State Level Police Recruitment Board published its notifications on 16 September 2026, with a Driver Operator notification on 17 September 2026. The press note of 16 September 2026, which was read in full as a scanned copy, says the recruitment follows G.O.Ms.No.81 of the Finance Department dated 22 August 2026, with a further amendment by a memo dated 11 September 2026. For the exam-level detail of these notifications, including age, fee, physical standards and pattern, read AP Police Recruitment 2026.

Rc.94/SLPRB/Rect.2/2026 (17 Sep) Driver Operator, Fire Services 147 Not announced Corrigendum of 18 Sep on education

These figures add to 2,197. The Recruitments page of the Board has a column for the period of the Stage I online application, and it is blank for every notification. The press note says exact dates will be notified separately. One practical detail: the page at the older address slprb.ap.gov.in/Recruitments.aspx showed only Rc.91 and Rc.81 when it was opened, while the page at slprb.ap.gov.in/UI/recruitments.aspx listed all seven. If a friend says a notification is missing, ask which page they looked at.

The same home page of the Board still carries the earlier Assistant Public Prosecutor material: the notification of 4 August 2025, the amendment of 25 August 2025, and the results press note of 23 December 2025. That recruitment is complete, and no new Assistant Public Prosecutor notification was listed as on 7 October 2026.

High Court of Andhra Pradesh: judicial and court posts

The High Court's current address for notices is aphc.gov.in. The address hc.ap.nic.in did not resolve when it was tried for this edition, so use the former. The Recruitment Notifications page lists several judicial notices from September and October 2026, and the notifications were opened as scanned documents.

R.O.C.No.366/2026-RC (17 Sep) Civil Judge (Senior Division) through LDCE 16 Last date 1 Oct 2026, 5:00 PM Closed

The Civil Judge (Junior Division) notification is the one with the widest eligibility, and it is the subject of our judicial services guide. The two District Judge notifications are for a narrower group. The LDCE route is for serving Civil Judges (Senior Division) with the stated qualifying service, and the direct recruitment route asks for seven years of practice as an advocate, or the stated combined standing, with an age between 35 and 45 on 1 September 2026, relaxed by three years for SC, ST, Backward Classes and EWS. Note that the District Judge (Entry Level) notification is paper-based: the printed notification asks for an application in the prescribed proforma with a crossed demand draft (Rs 1,500 for OC, BC and EWS; Rs 750 for SC, ST and persons with benchmark disabilities, as read from the scanned notification) and attested copies of testimonials.

The page also lists the staff and contract posts of the court system. The notable entries as on 7 October 2026 are the Stage-I written examination for Assistant Editor, scheduled on 4 October 2026 by a notice of 25 September; the provisional selection and wait list for Law Clerks, notified on 19 September 2026; the provisional selection list for Court Masters in the High Court Service, relating to Notification No. 02/2026/Estt., published on 15 August 2026; and provisional selections for Typist, Copyist and Stenographer Grade-III in the district judiciary, published between 30 July and 20 August 2026. The order appointing 41 Civil Judges (Junior Division) is G.O.Ms.No.157 of the Law Department, dated 27 August 2026. None of these staff rows is an open application window.

Health, medical education and power sector

The Directorate of Medical Education page lists the Senior Resident recruitment of 2026. Notification No. 2/2026, dated 10 July 2026, invites applications for 234 provisional vacancies of Senior Residents in Government Medical Colleges, a one-year tenured position with an honorarium of Rs 80,500 per month for broad specialties, according to the notification. The page lists an extension of the application date to 23 July 2026, a provisional merit list of 7 August 2026, a final merit list on 15 September 2026 and counselling on 6 October 2026. This round is therefore in its allotment stage, and no application window is open as on 7 October 2026.

The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board has its own website at apmsrb.ap.gov.in. When it was opened for this edition, the page loaded only a title and no readable list, so the Board's current notices could not be read there. The DME site hosts the Board's two notifications of January 2026: Notification No. 01 of 2026 dated 1 January 2026 for 220 Assistant Professor posts by direct recruitment, with online applications from 8 to 22 January 2026, and Notification No. 02 of 2026 dated 8 January 2026 for 97 posts by lateral entry. Both windows are closed. Whether the Board has issued anything newer could not be established from an official page, so the Board is listed under pages that need a direct check.

In the power sector, APGENCO's recruitment page lists the Assistant Executive Engineer notification dated 25 June 2026 with an application end date of 20 July 2026, and a notification dated 21 September 2026 for the board-level post of Director (Finance and Commercial) with an end date of 12 October 2026. The home pages of APGENCO and APSPDCL both carry a link to the common recruitment portal for the 2026 Assistant Executive Engineer results. The vacancy figures for the Assistant Executive Engineer recruitment are in our power utilities guide, which read the notifications of all five utilities.

Universities and the examination calendar

A web note of 5 October 2026 says the computer-based screening and written test for Assistant Professors in various universities, and for Lecturers in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, notified by 19 universities, is scheduled from 1 December 2026 to 5 December 2026. The note lists subjects session by session, with morning sessions from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and afternoon sessions from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. It does not state a vacancy figure, so none is given here. A Departmental Tests notification for the November 2026 session (06/2026) invites applications from 1 October to 21 October 2026, with the last date for fee payment 21 October 2026 at 11:00 PM and examination dates to be announced later. These two items concern existing employees and university candidates and are listed because they appear on the same Commission page.

Pages that could not be read, and what that means

Several official pages that matter to large groups of aspirants could not give a verified answer on 7 October 2026, and an honest tracker has to say so.

The School Education portals are the main gap. The site that serves teacher eligibility and recruitment (tet2dsc.apcfss.in, to which apdsc.apcfss.in redirects) loads as a JavaScript application with no readable list when fetched, and its page description still refers to the 2025 Mega DSC. The Commissioner of School Education home page links to "APTET 2026" and to "MEGA DSC-2025," and the Samagra Shiksha address serves the same page as the Commissioner's site, so no separate Samagra Shiksha recruitment notice was found. Because no DSC 2026 notification was visible on these pages, the DSC appears in the reported table, not the confirmed one. Our DSC 2026 status post keeps the same position.

The Village and Ward Secretariat department site and the Fire Services department site did not open when tried, and the Police Board's notices already cover the Fireman and Driver Operator posts. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation home page opened and showed no recruitment notice. Any ad for conductor, driver or secretariat posts that you receive in a message should be checked against the official site before you act.

Reported by press, not confirmed on an official page

The following items are reported in news coverage. None of them is a notification. Treat them as signals for planning, not as dates.

Item What is reported Report Why it is not confirmed
State job calendar 2026 10,060 direct recruitment posts in four phases of 1,523, 3,231, 2,311 and 2,995 News report of 22 August 2026 Order text with the phase table not opened
Phase 3 and 4 dates Notifications targeted for 15 October 2026 Same report A target, and nothing official yet
DSC 2026 Notification likely on 15 October 2026 for about 2,535 posts (SA, SGT, TGT, PGT, PET, Principal) News report of 22 September 2026 No notice on school education portals
DSC split 70 per cent promotion and 30 per cent direct recruitment; annual DSC planned to 2029 Same report Policy statement, no order opened
APPSC education posts 160 DIET and SCERT lecturers, 209 junior lecturers and about 100 librarians through APPSC Same report No APPSC notification found
Special TET for in-service teachers CBT from 11 to 21 October 2026; application ended 24 September 2026 Education-news report Official portal could not be read

The calendar's four phase sizes add up exactly to 10,060, which is a reason to think the table is faithfully reported, and the same figures appear in the job calendar post. But an exact sum is not an order. The second-phase size of 3,231 cannot be rebuilt from the notices on the official pages: the SLPRB notices total 2,197 and the APPSC brief notifications total 892, which add up to 3,089. The gap does not show that any post is missing, because not every APPSC post need belong to that phase.

For the Special TET, the report describes a test for in-service teachers appointed before 2011 who do not hold a valid TET certificate. It gives a notification in late August 2026 (reports differ by a day or two on the exact date), applications to 24 September, and examinations from 11 to 21 October 2026. This test is not a recruitment notification, and a fresh graduate cannot apply for it. It is relevant to this tracker because TET status affects teacher recruitment, and because its results may appear in the same weeks as a DSC notification.

Where existing posts and official pages differ

The brief for this tracker asked for a cross-check against four existing posts. The check found no conflict that makes an existing post wrong, but it found four differences worth knowing.

Item Existing post says Official page shows Note
Assistant Environmental Engineer vacancies 40 in the job calendar and the engineering-jobs post 41 (1 carried forward) in the detailed notification of 6 Oct 40 was the brief figure of 15 Sep
Group-I vacancies 166 in the Group-I post; 163 shown as the brief figure in the calendar 166 in the detailed notification Consistent; the calendar labels 163 correctly as the brief figure
District Judge posts The judicial post lists the 10-post direct recruitment, without a last date Last date 15 Oct 2026, 5 PM, by post with demand draft; a separate 30-post LDCE notification (365/2026-RC) with the same last date The 30-post notice and the last dates were not in that post
Civil Judge (Senior Division) LDCE 16 posts, listing of 17 Sep Last date 1 Oct 2026 has passed Closed

The two figures for constables and Sub Inspectors that circulate in some news summaries (about 1,970 and 418) also differ from the Board's own numbers, as the police post explains. The Board's notices give 1,240 constable posts of all types (827 Civil and AR, 200 Communications and 213 Mechanics and Drivers) and 438 Sub Inspector posts of all types (378 plus 60).

On the results side, the official pages show a steady stream of selection and marks notices from the Commission in September and early October, including a web note on marks for five notifications dated 23 September 2026 (09/2025, 14/2025, 17/2025, 21/2025 and 23/2025), the selection notification for Lecturers in Government Degree Colleges and its repeated supplementary result notifications, and the selection notification for Deputy Educational Officers of 2 September 2026. These are results of earlier recruitments and do not open new vacancies. For Group-I Notification No. 12/2023, the Commission's web note of 30 January 2026 says the list of provisionally selected candidates was declared, after a web note of 9 January 2026 had said the process was pending because of court cases.

Working out which notification fits you

A tracker is only useful if it leads to a decision, so here are three worked examples. They are illustrations and not advice on a particular person.

A graduate aged 30 with no teaching qualification and an interest in administration should first check Group-I, where most posts allow ages 18 to 44 on 1 July 2026. The deadline is 27 October, the screening test is on 24 January 2027, and an application involves the OTPR update, so the first week is best spent on documents. The same person might also look at the Assistant Statistical Officer brief notification (tentative window from 13 October), and should confirm the qualification in the detailed notification when it appears.

An Intermediate-pass candidate aged 21 should note that the Forest Beat Officer brief notification asks for Intermediate, that its tentative window begins on 16 October, and that physical requirements will be in the detailed notification. The SLPRB constable posts have printed age limits and physical standards, with no window yet. Such a candidate can use the time before the window opens to read the SLPRB notification and begin physical training, and should watch the Board's page rather than a message group for the date.

A law graduate with a degree obtained at least a year before the notification date should look at the Civil Judge (Junior Division) notification, whose window closes on 26 October. A practising advocate with seven years of experience and an age between 35 and 45 could look at the District Judge (Entry Level) notification, but should notice the 15 October last date and the paper application with a demand draft.

A final point on clashes. Between 13 and 27 October, a candidate may face several deadlines in the same fortnight: the Group-I last date on 27 October, the District Judge last date on 15 October and the Civil Judge last date on 26 October. A paper application that must reach an office by 5:00 PM on 15 October needs a week of lead time for the post. Plan the order of work by the last dates, not by the prestige of the post.

A weekly routine for using official pages

The official pages change every few days, and a fifteen-minute routine once a week is enough.

On the APPSC site, open the home page and read the items marked "Attention," which carry the publication date. Open the Notifications page for detailed notices and the Examination Calendar page for schedules. On the SLPRB site, open the Recruitments page and the Press Release page, and look at the application period column. On the High Court site, open the Recruitment Notifications page and note the last date in each entry, because some are online and some are paper-based. On the DME site, look at the latest notices for Senior Residents and for APMSRB notifications. On the School Education portals, look for a notification link, and confirm any teacher recruitment news against it before you act.

When a notice appears, record five things: the notification number and date, the number of vacancies, the application dates and mode, the age as on a stated date, and the qualification as on a stated date. Then write the source and whether it is official or reported. If a message gives a date with no notification number, treat the date as a rumour. The Commission's own web note asks candidates not to rely on unverified circulars, and the Board's notices tell candidates to apply only on its website. A site ending in gov.in or nic.in is official, and an agent who asks for money to apply or promises a job is not. For a wider picture of the year, see the Andhra Pradesh government exams 2026 guide.

Is the job calendar of 10,060 posts official? The figure is press-reported. The finance order cited by SLPRB, G.O.Ms.No.81 dated 22 August 2026, is official, but the phase table was not available to us.

Why are some APPSC windows marked tentative? The Commission's web note of 15 September 2026 says the dates and vacancies are tentative and that detailed notifications will follow on or before the opening of applications.

Where should I check for updates? psc.ap.gov.in for APPSC, slprb.ap.gov.in for police and fire posts, aphc.gov.in for the High Court, dme.ap.nic.in for medical education and cse.ap.gov.in for school education.

Will this tracker be updated? A new edition is planned for each month. The date at the top of each edition is the cut-off, and rows change after that date.
