This is the first general AMVI recruitment since Notification 12/2022 (17 posts); the 2025 notification (21/2025) filled a single carried-forward vacancy. Our AMVI and Transport Department guide explains the post, the department and the Motor Vehicles Act primer.
How to apply
Register once on OTPR at psc.ap.gov.in (see the OTPR registration guide), then submit the online application between 6 and 26 November 2026. Keep the driving-licence details ready: the licence class, the HTV endorsement date and the experience period are checked at verification. Read the detailed notification for the fee and age relaxations before you pay.
Read the official notification first. Facts that change with each notification (posts, dates, fee, age) are taken only from it.
Exam pattern (reported from the brief notification)
Single-level computer-based test, no screening test. Paper I General Studies and Mental Ability, degree standard (150 questions, 150 marks, 150 minutes); Paper II Automobile Engineering, diploma standard (150 questions, 300 marks at 2 marks each, 150 minutes); 450 marks in all. One-third negative marking. A qualifying Computer Proficiency Test (100 marks, 60 minutes) follows, with minimum marks of 30 for SC, ST and PBD, 35 for BC and 40 for OC. Confirm the scheme in the detailed notification.
Prepare with Pareeksha
Paper II carries two-thirds of the marks, so an automobile engineering revision plan matters more than general studies. For Paper I, use fixed-paper General Studies mocks where every candidate sits the same paper and the percentile is real.
