MUMBAI, October 11 — The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on Sunday declared the official Main Examination results for the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs-XV) on its portal (ibps.in), shortlisting candidates across 10,313 sanctioned vacancies for Officer Scale-I (Probationary Officer), Officer Scale-II & III, and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) across 43 participating Regional Rural Banks nationwide.
Candidates qualifying the Officer Scale-I, II, and III Main Examination will now advance to the common Personality Interview phase scheduled for mid-November 2026, coordinated by nodal Regional Rural Banks in consultation with NABARD and respective public sector Sponsor Banks. Final merit lists for officer cadres will be compiled using an 80:20 weightage ratio between Main written scores and Interview evaluations.
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) clerical vacancies, no interview is conducted; final state-wise provisional allotment depends strictly upon merit marks scored out of 200 in the Main Examination, subject to qualifying the mandatory Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT) administered prior to joining.
The statutory architecture of Regional Rural Banks (established on October 2, 1975, following the M. Narasimham Working Group recommendations and governed by the RRB Act 1976, with Prathama Bank as the first RRB), the tripartite shareholding equity formula (Central Government: 50%, Sponsor Bank: 35%, and State Government: 15%), and enhanced Priority Sector Lending (PSL) mandates (75% of ANBC for RRBs compared to 40% for commercial banks) are essential syllabus areas for IBPS, NABARD Grade A, and RBI Grade B examinations.
