MUMBAI, October 7 — The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on Wednesday published the official interview call letters and center intimation documentation for shortlisted candidates under the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs-XIII) on its portal `ibps.in`, advancing recruitment across 10,000 vacancies in 43 participating RRBs nationwide.
According to the examination authority's release, candidates who cleared state-specific sectional and aggregate qualifying cut-offs in the CRP RRBs-XIII Main Examination can download their personalized interview call letters through October 31, 2026. The centralized interview boards will be coordinated by designated Nodal Regional Rural Banks in consultation with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and IBPS across regional capital centres commencing late October.
The interview component carries 100 marks, with qualifying thresholds pegged at 40 percent for Unreserved and EWS candidates, and 35 percent for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD categories. The final provisional allotment and merit allocation synthesize scores accrued across the Main Examination and the interview in an 80:20 weightage ratio, subject to fulfillment of regional local language proficiency certifications.
The legislative design of the Regional Rural Banks Act 1976, ownership structures across regional banks, NABARD regulatory oversight, and Priority Sector Lending (PSL) requirements represent high-frequency themes across IBPS, SBI, and RBI banking examinations. Candidates should remember that the first Regional Rural Bank—Prathama Bank in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, sponsored by Syndicate Bank—was established on October 2, 1975, following the recommendations of the Narasimham Working Group, with capital equity divided between the Central Government, Sponsor Bank, and State Government in a statutory 50:35:15 ratio.
