If you live in a small town in Madhya Pradesh and you want a bank job without leaving the district, the Samiti Prabandhak post is probably the best shot you have. It is a graduate-level job, the exam has no interview, and you get posted inside your own district cooperative bank network. That last part matters more than people admit.

This year's cycle is already deep in progress. The written exam for Computer Operator and Samiti Prabandhak was held on 8 July 2026, and results are awaited. So this page does two jobs: it tells you exactly where the current cycle stands, and it gives you the full syllabus and strategy so you're ready when the next advertisement drops.

Latest notification and important dates

The recruiting body is Madhya Pradesh Rajya Sahakari Bank Maryadit (Apex Bank), Bhopal. The advertisement covers 2,076 posts in total across the Apex Bank and 38 District Central Cooperative Banks.

Next cycle notification Not announced yet

Do not trust any "next vacancy date" floating around on Telegram. Apex Bank does not follow a fixed annual calendar. The previous big Samiti Prabandhak drive was in 2022-23 with 1,358 posts, then this one in 2026. Gaps of two to three years are normal here. Keep an eye on our exam news updates so you don't miss the window.

What the job actually is

Samiti Prabandhak means Society Manager. You are not sitting in a shiny city branch counting cash. You manage a Primary Agricultural Credit Society, the PACS, which is the village-level unit of the cooperative credit system. Roughly 4,500 of these societies exist across MP.

Day to day, you handle crop loan files for farmers, maintain member records, run the fertiliser and seed distribution that many societies do, keep the books, and handle the recovery follow-up when repayment slips. A lot of it is now on software, which is exactly why a computer diploma is compulsory. You report to the District Central Cooperative Bank branch above you.

Be honest with yourself about the setting. Postings are rural or semi-rural. During kharif and rabi loan season the work piles up. In return you get a stable government-linked pay scale, a posting close to home, and far less transfer pressure than a state government job.

Vacancy details

The 839 Samiti Prabandhak seats are split across all 38 district cooperative banks, so the district-wise numbers are small. Reservation follows MP state rules for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwBD, plus the horizontal reservation for women.

  3. Fill in personal details, qualification, and category exactly as they appear on your documents.

Exam pattern

One online computer-based test. No interview for Samiti Prabandhak.

Section Questions Marks Time
Reasoning Ability 40 40 25 min
Numerical Ability 40 40 30 min
English Language 40 40 25 min
General Awareness 40 40 20 min
Computer Knowledge 40 40 20 min
Total 200 200 120 min

Each section is timed separately. When the 20 minutes for Computer Knowledge are gone, that section closes, even if you have questions left. Negative marking is 0.25 per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying is around 40 per cent overall, lower for reserved categories.

The sectional timer is the thing that breaks people. Practise with a clock from day one on our free online mock tests rather than solving untimed PDFs.

Detailed syllabus

Reasoning Ability

Puzzles and seating arrangement (linear, circular, floor based), syllogism, inequality, blood relations, direction sense, coding-decoding, order and ranking, alphanumeric series, input-output, data sufficiency, statement and assumption, odd one out, analogy. Puzzles alone can eat 12 to 15 marks, so start there. Work through the chapters in the reasoning complete guide.

Numerical Ability

Simplification and approximation, number series, quadratic comparison, percentage, ratio and proportion, average, profit and loss, simple and compound interest, time and work, time speed distance, mixture and alligation, partnership, mensuration, permutation and combination basics, probability, and data interpretation in table, bar, line and pie form. Roughly a third of the paper is arithmetic word problems. The quantitative aptitude guide covers the shortcut methods you'll need to fit 40 questions into 30 minutes.

English Language

Reading comprehension, cloze test, para jumbles, error spotting, sentence improvement, fill in the blanks, one word substitution, synonyms and antonyms, idioms and phrases, active-passive, direct-indirect. The level is moderate, easier than SBI Clerk. If English is your weak area, this is the cheapest section to fix.

General Awareness

Banking awareness, cooperative movement in India and MP, NABARD and RBI functions, types of cooperative societies, PACS and DCCB structure, MP state schemes for farmers, Indian economy and budget basics, MP geography, history, festivals, tribes, national parks, rivers and districts, plus current affairs of the last six to eight months. MP-specific GK is heavily weighted here, so do not prepare only national GK. Pair the general awareness guide with daily current affairs updates.

Computer Knowledge

Computer fundamentals and generations, input and output devices, memory types, operating systems, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, internet and email, networking basics, database basics, shortcut keys, computer abbreviations, security and viruses. This is the most scoring section in the whole paper. Aim for 34 plus out of 40.

Salary and career growth

Samiti Prabandhak sits at Level 4 of the MP 7th Pay Commission scale, Rs 19,500 to Rs 62,000.

Component Approximate monthly
Basic pay Rs 19,500
Dearness allowance As per current state rate
HRA 7 to 10 per cent depending on posting city
Other allowances Society and travel allowance as applicable
In-hand estimate Rs 27,000 to Rs 32,000

Growth comes through the cooperative bank ladder. A Samiti Prabandhak can move up to senior society manager roles and then into DCCB branch positions such as Branch Manager, either by promotion after qualifying service or through internal departmental exams. It is slower than an IBPS PO track. But job security is solid and the pension and gratuity rules follow state norms.

Previous cut-off

Apex Bank has not published a clean category-wise cut-off table for the Samiti Prabandhak post. What is on record from the 2023 cycle is the qualifying benchmark, and the merit level candidates reported.

Category Reported safe score (out of 200)
Unreserved 125 to 140
OBC 115 to 128
SC 100 to 115
ST 90 to 105

Treat these as candidate-reported estimates, not official figures. Minimum qualifying was around 40 per cent overall with a lower English threshold. Anything above 140 puts you in a comfortable position.

Books and preparation strategy

Books that actually help. R.S. Aggarwal for quantitative aptitude, a reasoning book with modern puzzle sets, Wren and Martin or Plinth to Paramount for English grammar, Lucent for static GK, and any recent MP GK book in Hindi covering districts, schemes and tribes. For computer, a basic objective computer awareness book is enough.

A three-month plan.

Month 1: Build the base. Two hours daily on quant, one hour reasoning, half an hour English grammar. Use topic-wise practice sets after each chapter instead of waiting till the end.

Month 2: Shift to speed. Do full sections under the exact time limit. Finish computer knowledge this month, it takes about ten days. One full mock every weekend.

Month 3: Mocks and revision only. Three or four full mocks a week, and analyse each one properly. Revise MP static GK weekly. A structured study plan helps if you tend to drift.

Honest advice and common mistakes

The biggest mistake is treating this like a national bank exam and ignoring MP GK. Candidates who did well in 2023 were the ones who knew MP districts, rivers, tribal communities and state farm schemes cold.

Second mistake: skipping the computer diploma check. Every cycle, hundreds of applications get rejected at verification because the diploma is not from an approved institute. Verify yours before you pay the fee.

Third: attempting everything. With 0.25 negative marking and a hard sectional clock, 150 accurate attempts beat 190 sloppy ones. Leave the two long puzzles you can't crack.

And fourth, do not put all your eggs here. The cycle gap is long. Keep a parallel target running, whether that's SSC CGL, SSC CHSL or RRB NTPC. The syllabus overlap is close to 70 per cent, so you lose nothing.

FAQ

Is Samiti Prabandhak a government job? It is a cooperative sector job under a state-registered bank, not a direct state government post. Pay follows the state pay commission and service conditions are similar, but it is technically a cooperative bank employee role.

Is there an interview? No. Only the online written exam and document verification. Interviews apply to Officer Grade posts.

What is the exam language? Questions come in both Hindi and English, except the English Language section.

Can candidates from outside MP apply? Yes, but you compete in the unreserved category and get no age relaxation or reservation benefit.

How many attempts are allowed? No limit on attempts. You just need to be within the age window.

Is a computer diploma really compulsory? Yes, unless your degree itself is in a computer field such as BCA, MCA, B.E. in CSE or IT, or a B.Sc./B.Com with computer as a subject.

How tough is the paper? Moderate. Easier than IBPS PO, roughly at IBPS Clerk prelims level, but with heavy MP-specific general awareness and a full computer section.

Where will I be posted? At a Primary Agricultural Credit Society under the district cooperative bank you applied to. Mostly rural or semi-urban locations.

When is the next notification expected? Not announced. The gap between the 2023 and 2026 drives was about three years, so plan for a long wait and prepare in the meantime.

Where do I check official updates? Only on apexbankmp.bank.in and cooperatives.mp.gov.in.

Final word

If you're a graduate in MP with a computer diploma sitting unused, this post deserves a serious look. The competition is real, roughly 839 seats against lakhs of forms, but the paper itself is beatable. There's no interview, no physical test, and no viva where luck decides your fate. Two hundred questions, one clock, one merit list.

The current cycle's result is still pending. If you appeared on 8 July, keep the admit card safe and start collecting your documents now. If you missed this one, use the gap properly. Three months of clean work on quant, computer and MP GK will put you ahead of most people who only start when the notification appears.
