35 | Handri Neeva and southern water transfer

Kurnool district's official Handri Neeva page says water is drawn from the Srisailam reservoir foreshore and conveyed through a main canal. The project belongs to the southern AP water-transfer story, often described as Handri Neeva Sujala Sravanthi. Its source and broad direction are high-yield map facts. Do not treat the canal as a natural tributary of the Krishna merely because its water source is in the Krishna basin.

The project page includes design lengths and command intentions, but those numbers and work stages need a date before becoming MCQs. A conveyance system may use lift and gravity components, reservoirs and branch canals; a single arrow on a study map simplifies that system. Draw it as a schematic connection from Srisailam toward Rayalaseema, not as a georeferenced canal trace unless authoritative line geometry is available. The purpose is to explain spatial relationship, not assert an as-built alignment.

Worked example: Handri Neeva moves water toward southern dry regions through a conveyance system. The route should be studied at broad scale; a project dot does not trace every canal. A farmer may receive water from a local tank or well even within a project district. The river source, project name and beneficiary area are three separate exam fields.

Active recall: Where does the official Handri Neeva page say its water is drawn from? Which broad AP region does it serve?
