Construct a compact matrix from official local pages. Krishna: paddy with maize, cotton, pulses and sugarcane among others. Guntur: chilli and turmeric plus cereals and pulses. Ananthapuramu: groundnut with redgram, cotton and some paddy. Chittoor: mango development. Annamayya: mixed field crops and southern fruits. These are documented examples, not an exhaustive state inventory or a claim of exclusive cultivation.
District reorganisation is the reason to mark source dates. A page saying old Guntur may cover localities no longer in the same current district; a page listing thirteen districts predates later division. The APSDMA outline supplies current orientation, while the original source supplies the dated crop statement. If asked a present-district crop rank, find a current table using current boundaries. Do not update an old statistic merely by changing its district label.
Worked example: Make a district crop matrix with columns for current district, crop, source year and evidence type. If a government handbook uses an old district, preserve the old row and reaggregate only with a documented method. A map icon may guide memory, but not settle a numerical 'largest producer' claim. This prevents a common error after AP's district reorganisations.
Active recall: Pair Krishna, Guntur, Ananthapuramu and Chittoor with one documented crop each; name the geography caveat.
