PATNA, October 4 — The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of 231 regular vacancies of Fisheries Extension Officer (Matsya Prasar Padadhikari) under the Animal and Fisheries Resources Department, Government of Bihar (Advt No. 28/2026).
According to the official notification, candidates must possess a 4-year regular Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) degree from an institution affiliated with an agricultural university recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). The age criteria as of August 1, 2026 is fixed at a minimum of 21 years and maximum of 37 years for unreserved males (40 years for females), with statutory relaxations for backward and reserved communities. The submission portal at `btsc.bihar.gov.in` remains active until October 23, 2026.
Selection will be conducted through a 100-mark Computer-Based Test (CBT) assessing domain fishery sciences and general studies, combined with weightage for certified contractual government service. Appointees will be inducted into revised Pay Matrix Level 6 with an initial basic pay of ₹35,400 plus applicable state allowances.
