NEW DELHI, October 1 — The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Thursday formally released the final answer keys along with individual candidate response sheets for the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (CHSL) 2026 Tier-1 on its official portal ssc.gov.in.
According to the statutory notice, candidates can inspect and download their scrutinized answer keys and evaluated response sheets between October 1 and October 15, 2026, using their registration examination roll number and security credentials. The Commission highlighted that the keys were finalized after comprehensive subject-matter review of all candidate objections filed during the provisional window.
The CHSL recruitment drive aims to fill 3,712 verified Group C vacancies across Central Ministries, statutory bodies, and subordinate offices for posts including Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Data Entry Operator (DEO). Shortlisted aspirants will now appear for Tier-2 examination comprising mathematical, linguistic, and automated typing skill evaluations.
The administrative mandate and institutional evolution of the Staff Selection Commission (established in 1975 under the Department of Personnel and Training - DoPT), recruitment mechanisms for non-gazetted Union cadres, and constitutional recruitment provisions under Articles 309 to 323 represent core knowledge areas for candidates preparing for central government competitive examinations.
