PRAYAGRAJ, October 4 — Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), North Central Railway, has officially notified 656 vacancies under the General Departmental Competitive Examination (GDCE) quota for 2026–27 across its operational divisions.
The departmental recruitment drive is open to regular serving railway staff, covering safety and non-safety cadres including Station Master, Goods Train Manager, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, and Technician Grade-III. Eligible employees stationed within Prayagraj, Agra, and Jhansi divisions and the associated workshops can file submissions via the dedicated RRC portal until October 30, 2026.
The multi-stage selection involves a standardized Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by the Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for Station Master aspirants and document verification. Successful candidates will be elevated to Level 2 through Level 6 positions in the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.
Railway administrative cadres, departmental recruitment channels (GDCE), and railway zones are common subjects in RRB, SSC, and state competitive examinations. Candidates should note that the North Central Railway (NCR) was operationalized on April 1, 2003, with its zonal administrative headquarters established at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
