27 | AP Industrial Development Policy 4.0

Andhra Pradesh issued Industrial Development Policy 4.0 for 2024–29 through G.O. Ms. No. 68 dated 26 October 2024. The document sets an incentive and infrastructure framework for new and expanding industry. A later government order gives operational guidelines. The existence of a policy is a stable current-affairs fact; a claimed investment, job or factory output needs an implementation report or company record.

An exam may contrast a formal policy period with an older 2023–27 policy. Use the government order and amendment date, not an unverified summary. The policy mentions categories such as investment, employment and decarbonisation support; eligibility and reimbursement require conditions. Do not turn a headline percentage into a universal cash payment. Industrial policy also links to maritime and food-processing policies, but each order governs a different set of activities. The industrial-policy acronym IDP should be expanded in an answer.

Worked example: AP Industrial Development Policy 4.0 is a dated state policy for 2024–29. Its incentive categories and aims should be read from the official order. An application approved under the policy does not prove that a plant was completed or the promised jobs filled. Keep policy eligibility, sanction, disbursement and realised investment in separate evidence columns.

Active recall: Give the policy version, period and order date; what separate evidence would show a completed plant?

Policy versus completed output

Approval, investment and production are different stages.

Policy target, approval, investment, plant operation and employment count are separate stages. Do not report aims as outputs.

Current district geometry: APSDMA. Mining, industry, SEZ and port claims: credited issuing bodies.
