AP Minerals, Industries, SEZs and Ports · Chapter 45
44 | Timed map and industry recall

Revise in four rounds. First, match mineral and use: barytes/drilling, limestone/cement, granite/dimension stone, bauxite/aluminium. Second, locate Mangampeta, Chimakurthy, Vizag, Kakinada and Sri City on the real AP outline. Third, separate industrial institutions: RINL steel, Hindustan Shipyard, APIIC parks, central SEZ lists and AP Maritime Board roles. Fourth, order the ports and state which one is the centrally governed major port.

The following 60 explained questions are original practice rather than claimed previous-year items. Mark each miss as a mineral-product, present/old district, legal status, port class, coast order or date error. Recheck any 2026 status before the exam from the relevant authority, particularly greenfield ports, SEZ operation and proposed investments. Memorise stable relationships first, then one dated table if the current-affairs syllabus calls for it.

Worked example: For timed recall, draw one chain from mine to product to port and annotate the evidence at each stage. Then place three mineral sites, two industrial centres and three ports on a blank AP map. Answer ten MCQs, classify mistakes as stage, district, legal status or quantity, and recheck only the unstable fields before the examination.

Active recall: In sixty seconds, write the Mangampeta, Chimakurthy, Vizag Steel, Sri City and Visakhapatnam Port pairs.
