28 | APIIC parks and industrial land

The Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, APIIC, develops and manages industrial infrastructure. Its official pages list SEZs, clusters and land-bank information. A park may provide serviced plots and common infrastructure; a notified or planned park is not itself proof that every plot has an operating factory. APIIC's cluster page identifies planned or developing projects in multiple districts, which should not be counted as completed without a later status report.

APIIC's historical SEZ table lists places by older districts. For example, Atchutapuram was labelled Visakhapatnam in older records; present boundaries must be checked separately. A land-bank page may show live plot availability, which can change daily and should not be preserved as a static exam fact. In a classification question, APIIC is the state infrastructure corporation, while the central Department of Commerce maintains the SEZ legal-status lists.

Worked example: APIIC develops industrial land and parks. A plotted industrial estate can have notified land, allocated plots, construction and operating firms at different stages. A park name on a map does not certify every unit is active. To answer a question on location, use APIIC's catalogue; for output, consult the unit's or government's latest operating record.

Active recall: Separate APIIC's infrastructure role from the Department of Commerce's SEZ status role.
