APIIC and Department of Commerce lists contain southern AP examples around Naidupeta, Tada and Satyavedu, as well as inland IT/biotech or building-products entries. They differ in notified sector: multi-product, footwear, leather, IT/ITES, biotechnology or building products. “Industrial park” is a generic infrastructure term, whereas “SEZ” has a specific legal notification. One location can have multiple nearby sites with distinct developers and statuses.
Old records frequently say Nellore or Chittoor for places whose current district changed in 2022. A dated notification should not be rewritten as though it used the 2026 map. On an exam, a general north–south locator is useful: Visakhapatnam/Anakapalli and Kakinada lie along the northern/central coast; Sri City and Naidupeta lie in the far south. Exact site boundaries and tenant lists need current official GIS or SEZ files. Never infer a functioning factory from the land-bank availability map alone.
Worked example: A southern inland industrial park and a formal SEZ are not synonyms. A park may provide serviced land without the distinct SEZ notification under central law. In a matching question, identify the legal status first. If a location is merely proposed, do not label it operational because an older investor presentation shows a finished-looking rendering.
Active recall: Distinguish a legal SEZ from a general industrial park and name one southern multi-product example.
