21 | Jyothi Yarraji: 100 metres hurdles

World Athletics identifies Jyothi Yarraji as a 100 metres hurdles athlete and its official Paris 2024 records list her in that event. Its biography says she was born in Vizag, providing a defensible point for the current AP map. A 100 metres hurdles race is different from a flat 100 metres sprint, a 200 metres run or the 60 metres hurdles indoor event. The hurdles abbreviation “100mH” carries that distinction even when the word is absent from a compact results table.

The federation profile shows a 12.78-second national-record mark from 2023 and a matching mark in 2024. Record status must be dated and checked close to the exam because another athlete or later performance can supersede it. The 2023 Asian championship and 2025 defence of the title are competition outcomes, not the same data field as the record. Her Paris entry proves participation, not an Olympic medal.

Worked example: Jyothi Yarraji competes in the women's 100 metres hurdles. The hurdles are part of the event name, not a separate medal added to a 100 metres sprint result. A race time needs wind, electronic timing and meet context where applicable. Use the official athletics profile for a record or championship result and preserve the competition date.

Active recall: Give Jyothi's event, mapped AP association and the difference between a record and a medal.
