The map labels documented places rather than pretending to plot an athlete's entire career. World Athletics identifies Visakhapatnam or Vizag as Jyothi Yarraji's birth city. FIDE's Dronavalli Harika profile associates her with Guntur. The West Godavari district administration describes the District Sports Authority's work, while Visakhapatnam district lists its sports officers. These four points show two personal associations and two administrative access points. They are deliberately different symbol types on the plate.
The current district outline is useful for orientation, but it cannot answer where an Olympian trained during a particular year or which state association issued a certificate. The names of districts and their boundaries have changed after bifurcation. A map question should therefore identify whether it asks for a current place, a historical state or a sporting institution. For Hyderabad-linked figures such as P V Sindhu and V V S Laxman, do not shift the marker across the current state border to satisfy a Telugu-culture narrative.
Worked example: A marker on the current AP map may show a sourced regional association or an office location. Those are different symbol types. A sports office in a district does not prove an athlete trained there, and an athlete's association does not prove every facility is present. Read the legend, then identify whether the question asks for a person, a programme or an administrative address.
Active recall: Locate Vizag, Guntur and West Godavari on an unlabelled AP map. Explain why their markers mean different things.
