AP Rivers, Dams and Irrigation Projects · Chapter 45
44 | Last-page map and source check

Start with the real river map, then trace northeast rivers, Godavari, Krishna and Penna in separate colours. Add project markers only after the river lines are correct. Finish with the project-status ladder and 60 questions; revisit the wrong answers after one day and one week. The APWRIMS table should be checked immediately before any exam item about current storage or releases.

The source register distinguishes geometry, site descriptions, operational readings and legal project status. A number can be accurate for one date and wrong for another. Keep that date attached to the flashcard.

Worked example: Finish with one river-network map and one current district map side by side. For every point ask four questions: which basin, what physical structure, where is it now, and which source date supports a changing claim? A map may locate Srisailam correctly but cannot tell you today's live storage. A legal Act may name Polavaram but cannot establish the latest construction percentage. This separation makes revision both faster and more accurate.

Active recall: Locate the named river or project on the relevant map, name its function, and state which facts need a dated source.
